The South End's Newest Luxury Apartments and Condos Impress

On a recent tour with an out of state client, the South End's new luxury buildings impressed me once again. The South End's SOWA district has been transformed, and the former Boston Herald site has been the catalyst for the rejuvenation. The Ink Block project has added three apartment buildings with 471 luxury units ready for lease as we speak. The condo component, The Sepia, is nearing completion, and has already sold out of its 83 units according to on site agents. A neighboring project, The Troy Boston, is equally as impressive. It boasts three towers of it's own, breathtaking roof-deck views, fire pits, two gyms, and a yoga studio.

Which one is for you? Well it's really a matter of tastes. The Ink Block connects the history of the Boston Herald Site with the modern renaissance of the SOWA district. You'll enjoy oversized units, several unique finishes, direct access to the new Whole Foods, and hip features such as a mail room that was a shipping container.

At the Troy, the spectacular views are the selling point. You can see every part of the city from its sprawling roof deck, and the views from the apartments are equally as impressive. There's also really trendy features like a dog run and dog wash that will clean up after your little loved one.  Best of all, the prices are a bit more bearable than the Ink Block.

What's the future of these new developments? With 471 rental units at the Ink Block and 378 at the Troy Boston, we at Boston Proper see condo conversions on the horizon. The South End sales market is still extremely hot, as evidenced by the quick sales of the Sepia condos. Don't be surprised if more of these units are offered for sale in the very near future!
